Suiseki

Suiseki is the Japanese term for stone objects shaped by nature. Sui means "water" and seki means "stone". This does not express the true significance of suiseki as an art form, rather, we must think of suiseki as an endless intellectual experience. Suiseki dates back more than 2000 thousand years in China where people placed small stones of exceptional natural beauty on bases.

Made by Austrian artist Bernhardt Stepanik-Keber.
